Some of our previous  pups...some working hard and some hardly working.........
Some varieties of house and garden plants may be poisonous to dogs--be sure to check your plants!!  especially if a puppy is coming to your home.
When selecting a GS pup--ask about if the pup is working or show lines.  Working lines have lots of drive and may be more than you want or need.  Show lines  may have less drive and be a bit more laid back.
GS, generally, are a high energy dog, especially the first 2 years.  They are not fully grown until they reach 3 yrs. old.  Be sure to do  plenty of breed research if you have never raised a GS pup before.  They are a very dedicated breed, and do require time for training and exercise.
A bored dog is one that is usually unrulely or distructive.  Daily exercise in the form of long walks, retrieving, or work will keep any dog more attentive and well mannered.
?Be sure to evaluate your time and schedule--Do you have the time to  dedicate to  a German Shepherd puppy -through the toddler and teen stage and for the next 15 years?  Remember, this is a commitment--are you willing and able to raise this majestic breed?
We are always here for needed support....
If looking for an older pup, young adult or rescue--give us a call.  Also, check with the German Shepherd breed rescue--there may be one available in your area.
Please Remember.....
we DO want to hear from ALL our new extended family members.  It is important that the new owners and their pup have a comfortable adjustment and many long happy years together.  If at any time -for any reason, a new family can not keep one of our pups, we strongly plea, that they contact us.  We may be able to find a new home in their area or the pup can return home to us.  Most training and adjustment frustrations can be overcome by asking   questions--we are here for the long haul-Are you?
All puppies are like toddlers and you WILL have  challenges.  They WILL go through the "Teen" stage from about 6-24 months of age. Do your ground work and your puppy will come through the stage --it is just a phase.  Remember "patience" is a virtue....and will help your puppy grow into a strong confident adult.

Our  pups  are being used for therapy, obedience, herding, and for police  work, as well as great family companions .
"Anastasia"
PICK OF THE LITTER FEMALE
black and red
Anastasia is a pup with great potential.  She exhibits exceptional ball and food drive (great for training), does not show any signs of sound sensitivity  or fear of new situations. She would be considered a Hard dog and not the best choice for a novice German shepherd owner.  She has strong herding, and police lines and could make a possible shutzhund prospect. At 12 weeks old she is crate trained, started on basic obedience  and house breaking.  She is one very quick learner!  Her favorite toy is a squeaky tennis ball and the rubber spider.
Give me a call and we can discuss her in much greater detail.
